The Legacy are:

Formed in 2003 with the intent of injecting life into the stagnant UK hardcore scene, taking influences from classic and modern hardcore bands such as Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Turning Point, Rites Of Spring, American Nightmare, Black Flag, Carry On, Unbroken etc The Legacy aimed to create fast intense hardcore with a heap of melody and passion thrown in.

After a well received demo The Legacy released their first MCD ‘Dead Weight’ on UK label Dead and Gone Records in late 2003. Throughout 2004 the band continued to keep playing wherever and whenever possible whilst also working on the next release. December 2004 saw the release of “We gave it everything” MCD, on Dead and Gone Records. Again followed by constant touring/playing, it was natural that a full mainland Europe tour would come around. This happened in the winter months of 2005 with Life Long Tragedy (USA).

After a couple of line-up changes and a few bumps in the road along the way The Legacy are now more solid than ever and more determined than ever. The band has recently recorded a new MCD, following a harder, faster sound but still holding to their melodic and passionate qualities. Expect to see The Legacy playing more and more throughout 2006/2007. Look out for the new record soon on Visible Noise.
